During the course of this build, we have met some of the most generous and supportive sponsors in the Auto Aftermarket industry.  We have sponsors of every kind, size, shape and age.  All organizations, big and small, donated their time, treasure and effort towards our cause of raising money for breast cancer research.  Sure we all share a passion for cars but the list of companies featured throughout this blog and on our Get Pink page all contributed because they know the importance of our cause.  Budnik Wheels is one company that will be on our speed dial for future projects.

As it turns out, we didn’t even end up using the product they sent us.  We had reached out to them for a custom steering wheel.  Our original plan was to have the Mastershift/Momo combination.  For many technical reasons, the Momo steering wheel fit best with the Mastershift paddle shifters we had requested.  We weren’t entirely sure if Momo was going to come through since they usually don’t creep in to the world of American Muscle cars.  While waiting to hear back from Momo, we had received help from Budnik in the way of a pre-release steering wheel.

They saw the predicament we were in and sent us the steering wheel in a hurry.  Long story short, Momo came through and we used their steering wheel.

When we contacted Budnik to make arrangements to return the steering wheel (that hadn’t even come out yet, by the way), they said, “keep it and throw it on the next build.”  We were shocked.  This generosity and support really exemplified the spirit behind this project.  This build was always about people; not just a bunch of faceless companies.  It started out with a family heirloom and will continue to touch many more families along the way.  Thank you Budnik Wheels, not only for your help but also for your inspiration.

We were pleasantly surprised when the good folks at Momo decided to get on board with the Passionately Pink Camaro build.  They have a rich international reputation in Formula 1 racing.  It’s quite easy to find their steering wheels mounted in exotic sport cars and serious sport compacts.  We could not be more pleased that they decided to contribute to this build for the sake of the cause.  The Millennium Evo steering wheel looks like it was made especially for the Passionately Pink Camaro.
